The Exhibition
9th February - 9th June 2018 : Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery

Inspired by his Christian faith, James Fegan started supporting and housing boys living on the streets in 1870. Follow the incredible journey of Fegans, the children’s charity, as it has evolved and developed over the years. From children’s homes, child migration, and finding family, the Fegans’ story is one of great historical and cultural value. To learn more about our heritage online, please click here.

Fegans today supports over 400 children a week through counselling and many more families through our recently launched Parents Supporting Parents initiative. Together with the help of donors and volunteers, we reach out and transform and protect childhoods throughout the South East. We have a wide range of family and professional events throughout the exhibition, and many ways in which you can, donate, or join our team, in our quest to help children nationwide.

Assemblies and WorkshopsIn the last year Fegans has doubled in size. Despite counselling twice as many children, sadly our waiting lists continue to rise. The youth mental health crisis appears to be as prevalent in Tunbridge Wells as it is nationally. In response to this Fegans is investing in more preventative action to try and deal with the fruit of the issues before children end up in our therapy rooms.
As part of the Fegans’ exhibition taking place in Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery from February to June 2018 we are reaching out to secondary schools in Tunbridge Wells, with a series of assemblies, literature and online support, for more information visit our Headspace Webpage here.
